New, High-end Ultrasonic technology
For several years Milkotronic has specialized in developing and producing solutions for milk analysis based on the ultrasonic technology.
Today, there are thousands of Lactoscan milk analysers in operation at milk collecting centers, dairy plants and milk testing laboratories worldwide.
Lactoscan is based on the new high-end ultrasonic technology. The ultrasonic working principle is based on measuring the speed of the ultrasound in milk and dairy products. The ultrasound speed is a function of FAT %, SNF %, Proteins%, (Lactose + Solids) %.
All results from the Lactoscan analysis are based on a direct measurement of the parameters, which means confidence in results and easy implementation with local authorities.
The ultrasound technology overcomes some of the basic disadvantages of the infrared technology. Due to the ultrasound technology:
  1. Lactoscan measures directly cold milk samples starting at 5°C.
  2. There is no need of Lactoscan's periodical calibration.
  3. The measurement accuracy of Lactoscan is not dependent on milk's acidity.
  4. Analyzing any kind of milk.
